Happiness is a personal choice, but it never hurts when things that make you happy happen too - like your message, it made me incredibly happy. Thank you!

The Happiness Challenge #366:
Me.
That’s what the year, and the Challenge have taught me - The only thing stopping you from being happy is you. Happiness isn’t something you stumble across on your way, it’s just about choosing to skip along down whatever path you’re on.
I make myself happy because I choose to be happy.

I believe that imagination is stronger than knowledge. That myth is more potent than history. That dreams are more powerful than facts. That hope always triumphs over experience. That laughter is the only cure for grief. And I believe that love is stronger than death.

The Happiness Challenge #361:

Those lessons that only living life can teach you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.

~ Khalil Gibran, The Prophet

Words to live your spiritual life by, that don’t find their source in a religious text.

The Happiness Challenge #353:

This is easily one of my favourite songs right now, and I don’t even understand it.

Being open-minded.
